Eagle & Child pub, Hurst Green – conversion to new housing
We secured planning permission to convert this former pub into five 2 and 3-bedroom cottages with gardens and covered parking. The scheme includes new sliding, folding doors and raised balcony areas at the rear, taking advantage of commanding views towards the Ribble. The combination of the restoration of the building and high-quality contemporary additions was accepted by Ribble Valley Borough Council to conserve the character and appearance of the conservation area. We convinced the council of the scheme’s significant regeneration benefits and this was key to securing planning permission.
